Short Gameplay Video:
Controls: Move across the planet with WASD or the arrow keys
Theme: Dead in a minute (Get it cause its hard to survive for a minute lol)
Limiting Genre: Infinite runner where obstacles help you (by making it more fun cause you have to then play more dangerously to heal)
Concept: Your goal is to survive for as long as possible with all these discs flying at you around the globe. If you lose a heart you can restore it again by charging one of the floating healing cubes.
The idea for this one really did not come from an existing idea I had. I just wanted to use the round world I had from an earlier gamejam and see what would happen if I made you dodge discs on it.
Feedback: There was a bug where you could stand still and not get hit. That is now fixed. Plus I saw a few problems in the design myself that I have worked on. First you are not incentivized to move around the globe but rather spend most of the time just standing still. So I wanted to make you move by aiming a few discs directly at you. And motivating those hit once to take the risk to find a healing cube to regain a life for more chances. I also added a more clear score reset by adding a death screen with some slowed time.
